Tracy Spencer

  

Tracy Spencer is an educator and mixed media artist who lives and works in North Carolina and Virginia. She is an Assistant Professor of Humanities and Fine Art at Hampton University, teaching Drawing, Painting, Print Making, and Humanities, as well as special topics in Mixed Media. Born in Bonn, Germany, Tracy has lived in the American South since the age of five. She completed her Masters in Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a da Vinci scholar at North Carolina State University where she received two bachelor degrees in History and Art & Design. She has studied art at Pratt Institute in New York; the Lorenzo de' Medici Institute in Florence, Italy; the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; and Penland School for Craft in Penland, North Carolina.
